The history of Interfurn

In 1942, Mr. G.H. Scholte founded Scholte B.V. in Winschoten, initially focused on furniture repair and the manufacture of children’s toys. In the 1960s, however, the company specialized in producing and supplying hospital and pharmacy furnishings, as well as laboratory furniture. After the premature death of Mr. Scholte in 1975, Mr. G.P.J. Helmers took over. In 1989 Scholte B.V. underwent a name change to Interfurn B.V., and Interfit B.V. and Interoffice Kantoorinrichting B.V. were established. All these companies were brought together under the Interwinngroep, with a uniform appearance through the logo and the corporate philosophy. Over the years, Interfurn has grown into one of the leading interior builders in the Netherlands.
