Installation Technician – Laboratories (E+W)

Are you a versatile technical talent with experience in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and/or plumbing? Do you enjoy working on challenging on-site projects and have an affinity with laboratory technology? Then we’re looking for you!

As a Laboratory Installations Technician at Interfurn, based in Winschoten, you will work together with about 60 colleagues. In this role you are responsible for all installations of Interfurn’s laboratory projects. These will mostly be projects for the layout and technical installation of laboratories, though they can also be other Interfurn projects.

What will you do?

As a Laboratory Installations Technician, you are responsible for the installation and connection of laboratory systems in our factory and on-site. Your tasks include:

• Laying out and connecting electrical installations;
• Carrying out plumbing work, such as taps, water lines, and various types of gases;
• Installing, testing, and commissioning air-technics systems, such as fume hoods and exhaust installations;
• Inspecting and testing fume hoods and other laboratory installations according to applicable standards;
• Troubleshooting technical malfunctions and performing maintenance on-site;
• In addition, you will assist the technicians with placing furniture on-site.

• You have a technical MBO level of education and mindset;
• You have an affinity with installation technology E+W (electrical and plumbing);
• You are willing to follow additional courses;
• You have a hands-on mentality and think in practical solutions;
• You have technical insight and an affinity with interior construction;
• You can read drawings well;
• You take responsibility for your tasks;
• You know how to break down difficult things and come up with simple solutions;
• You are proactive, commercially minded, and take initiative;
• You are customer-oriented, independent, and work in a solution-oriented way;
• You also possess good communication skills;
• You do not have an 8-to-17 mentality.
