At Interfurn in Winschoten, we work on customized interior projects for hospitals, laboratories, and care facilities. From the initial design to the last detail, we ensure that every project is technically sound and financially feasible.
Due to the growth of our organization, we are looking for a cost engineer / calculator. Are you numerically strong and do you have an affinity with technology? Do you also have an eye for detail and enjoy playing a central role between sales, engineering, and management? Then we are looking for you!
What will you do?
As a cost engineer / calculator, you work from our office in Winschoten and are part of a close-knit team. You will fulfill a versatile role within the sales department.
You will be involved in the entire process: from calculating projects to supporting sales. You will have extensive contact with suppliers, colleagues from the drawing department, engineering, sales, and management.
Your tasks consist of:
Calibration & sales support
- Independently calculate projects based on materials, (machine)hours, and other cost-determining factors;
- Calculate cost prices and prepare sales prices;
- Prepare and generate quotes and submit them for approval to sales and management;
- Support the sales department and act as the right hand of the salesperson;
- Maintain contact with suppliers to obtain current prices and product information.
Office & process support
- Ensure correct administrative processing of quotes and project data;
- Identify bottlenecks and think about smarter and more efficient ways to organize processes;
- Interact between different departments and ensure good information transfer;
- Work according to schedules and take responsibility.
You report directly to management.

What do we ask from you?
- MBO/HBO level of work and thinking, preferably in a technical or business administration direction;
- Experience with calculating and reading drawings is a plus, but not required;
- Affinity with technology is a plus;
- You work in a structured manner, take ownership, and can handle deadlines well;
- Hands-on mentality and a problem-solving approach;
- You can distinguish main and subordinate issues and quickly see connections.
